My two stars and a wish!

 

*My first star is Math, I was in math enrichment because I am so smart in math I won 1st place in math enrichment out of all the grade 4s in math enrichment I even got a medal.

*My other  star is on Science I got an   A  on my power point on the rainforest so I think I am good at science and finding info on it!

Today I was assigned to pick a habitat around the world to study. I choose the rainforest of Malaysia. I choose it because of all the wildlife like the big trees and the fresh smell of the rain. I also like all the animals, like the orangutans, expeasily the babies! Here are some facts! The chimpanzees like to eat figs and if their are some other chimpanzees in their tree they will chase them away and if theres one baby left behind they will kill it and then eat. I was surprised by that because they are the most related to humans! Also that there is a bird that will dance and make an act because they want a mate and the can make a smily face out of there wings! If the females are pleased they will mate! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 This week Chloe's mom Michelle came in and presented the kootneyhabitat. For this wiki entry I am told to type about what I learned from that experience. I learned that only about 2 out of 800 salmon eggs make it to lay their own eggs! Also that the life-cycle of a samon goes through a circle. First it is an egg, then an eyed egg, then a Alvan, next it's a fry, then a adult who lays eggs! Also the samon/fish can only live in nice, shady creeks with lots of trees, also no litter , and no unnatural animals or houses! 

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

This week I am learning  about habitats in science. Now that we're learning about habitats, I have to study different habitats and at the end I choose one to do a project on!! I brought in a Planet Earth seires so the class has been watching  alot   of habitat videos!!

I also have learned about how to add and subtract  decimals, in math here is a example 1.90 + 8.97 = 10.87! I also have started Run For Fun  I have to get 120 laps around our huge feild I have 15 minutes for each day and we have extra lunches every Wednesday other wide 20  days for the month of April!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I have learned lots of things this week but I am only going to tell three things! Ok? Lets start! One of the three things are, this week I learned about essay's and how you put them together with an introduction at the beginning, then topics in the middle, and last of all a conclusion  at the end. Another one of the three things that I learned about are prepositional phrases and how they can mean how, where, or when! Another one of the three things I learned are, how to do oragami  and I made a crane and a paper airplane! I had a exiting week. I even came back from Hawaii on Tuesday! *I am doing really well at Fractions in math we are learning how to make the numbers divisable.I am also doing good at puting the main number into shapes.

*I am also doing well at science and lestening to the vidoe on sound and how you hear!

This week we are learning time in ,Math Time is very easy for me because I've been doing time science grade 1!!! We are starting our  social project on explorers I am partnerd up with Holly were planning on studying Mackenzie!!! We are also starting a storymine is on a cow boy who is afraid of horses and can only walk upside down!! In socials we are learning about the Eurapeans coming and settleingon the natives land! DECEMBER 17 2009 

This winter break I'm going to go  skiing alot

  

because I am just learning how to ski and I

 

Am very exited to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but I

 

also love the snow it's  like a wonder land!      I am also

 

happy about the dark christmas eve! On christmas day I

 

will be upset if I open my presents any later than 7:00

 

A.M. but I don't only like Christmas because of the 

 

presents I also like the tree and decorating it! Also 

 

doing the singing and mailing letters to are faimly

 

and most of all, seeing your faimly! My christmas is 

 

always spent at home because we spend it toghether

 

But most of the time faimly comes to spend

 

christmas with us and the big turkey dinner is so

  This week in math were

 

learning division and on Friday were are working with a buddy ( mines Holly ) and were working on division word

 

 problums . Were also learning that in D.P.E. were learning about the sculpster in washingtin  and the sculpster of faces! Also that in  spelling we had 30 words  and I all ways get stuck on the O in cough ( in sted I do an A ) !!

This week in science I learned that the weather in British Columbia eficts the animals habitates  and that they migrate or hibernate when the winter comes. I also learned in scoicals that there is a tribe that has been on Queen Charlots island for a very long time. In L.A. I learned that on the D.P.E. John Herrinteing was the first person in America to go to outer space!

 

 

My story is about a Minotaur, a Hydra, and a Cerberus. Hydra is a slave for Minotaur the owner of the labyrinth. And Cerberus is the gaurd! My story is about how Hydra's causon was made fun of by Hydra so Hydra has to stop him. But it ends up being Magic!

*I think that I am having turbble in language arts. My solution   is to work harder and work until times up and before it's up do what ever you can do untill time is up! Also rereading it by editing it twice once with the class one with myself, to make sure I've got everything!

This week I learned how to measure  the weather by using our smell, eyes and ears but you can also use a thermometer!

this week I did a mandala in art and I put a Saskatchewan, Birtsh Clumbia and  Canada flag. also a capacorn for my month and a drogan for my year. and last but not least a soccer ball! Friday, October 2 at 12:12

 

       Last week on Friday, October 2 I Got A on spelling (100%)! Also we Learned the meaning of Peace ( I already knew that ), Ying Yang (I already knew that to)!October, Saturday 3

 

       HERE IS A STORY i wrote I thought it was cool so I wanted to share it with everyone!

 

      My Nerd teacher that couldn't be More nerdy!

 

Why my teacher is so nerdy you ask? Why, because today we went out side and we saw a truck with this video t.v. on it we saw a commercial about Sunny D. and after that he quit school and got a sub. because he had to get some sunny D. so he went. Then he came back about half an hour later then I noticed  that he came back about ten minutes tell school was over! So the next day when I went to school (even though I didn't want to) so he gave us homework for what he made us miss.(I was very upset ) now we had a field trip to the water slides! and there was a sales person selling new tube and my teacher just had to have one! So he bought it! but then suddenly it went POP! So he started to CRY (I just sank in to my tube!) then finely some one gave him a new one! The next day I really, really wanted to be invisible!

      This week I learned how to play sudoku  like you can have only one of each number in colums and rows! This week were doing a writing  project on two  made up creatures I'm doing coclyps and a half lion, drogan and something with hoofs! This week I learned on a movie on wind that weather vanes have been around for ever (almost)!  October, Friday, 9, 2009

 

 

  This week we started a writing project and  you write about 2 or 3 creaters out of a few things and I  choose the Minotaur, Hydra and Cerberus! The setting is based in the Labrynth! Also this week We've read chapter 1 to 3 of "Tales Of The Fourth Grade Nothing" Fudge sure is a lot of Trubble! Also we have been having a Science Test I got 17 out of 17  I was very, very proud!October, 16 2009
