This year I was good at alot of things, but I was best at math.To prove it, I was in math enrichment and came in 5th place!I am also good at Music.I got an A in both music and math!My wish is to become better in socials,because I only got a B in it.

I chose to do shallow water and deep seas because shallow water has sea horses and deep seas has white tip shark.

I already know ALOT about sea horses and want to learn more about them AND their habitats.White tip shark use to

attack salors when they abandonded ship.They are really rare to see without any bait.

Today, Mrs.Kam (Chloe`s mom) came to teach us about habitats. We learned that a pair of salmon can lay 800 eggs but only an estemated of two of those eggs become spawners, but the downer is that they live,lay their eggs, and than die and don`t ive to see their babies and teach them how to live their lives. We learned that solmon who live their full lives only live for four years.We did this fun activity where we spun this wheel and the wheel is called the wheel of death and to win we had to land on the "YOU LIVE" slot and there was only one of them! Since spring break is over, we have been learning lots and we just had a long weekend.In science, we are learning about habitats.There are lot`s of kinds of habitats and we are watching vidios/movies about different habitats.I think, for my project, I will do seas/oceans for my habitat.

Yesterday, we learned how to make oragami.I made a crane, and a paper airplane.We started a new novel study and the book was "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory".So far it is really good.We are starting essays in writing.So far we are doing really good.

Some things I am good at are Math,not all of it but alot of it. I am also good at all of our morning activities(eg.Daily Paragraph Edit(D.P.E),Grammer,ang Vocabulary). My one wish is I want be better at Socials, by making a bigger effort on getting A`s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. That`s about it.

                             What I Learned This New Year

So far we have started a new math unit.The unit is telling time.We are reveiwing how to tell time with analog clocks,

and digital clocks.We also started a new novel study.The book is Cricket in Times Square,and it is very old.It has

an award for being a popular kids book the year it came out.We are starting a socails prodject now.We are now

writing a story with what we have.We picked a pice of paper form a proplem bin and then a main charecter for it.

I n science we are learning about light and later on we will learn about sound.

                                    Winter Break

 

For winter break, I am going to see my older siblings, Leah, and Riley.I think we will go to Big White for a lot of

skiing.They will get here by bus and bring along late Christmas presents and really late Birthday presents.I love them!

On Christmas Eve,it is my great grandma Eva`s birthday.We will go to her retirement home and have dinner there!

On New Years Eve,it will finaly be my grandma`s birthday!The following day is my uncle`s birthday!So many birthdays

to keep track of!I might go some where else or do something else though.

We are doing both multiplication, AND division.Stuff like word problems and we make up word problems,

and we have to solve them or a partner solves it for you.We have a math test next week on Thursday.Also,

we have a final science test on Thursday.Speaking of science,we have been learning how to take notes properly by

using paragraphs from our text books.We have to do 9 paragraphs worth of key words, along with 1 to 2

sentences about that paragraph.W e are getting report cards today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In music we had our  

performance and we sung a song called "White Coral Bells".It was really fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It goes like this, withe coral bells upon a slender stalk,lilies of the valley deck my garden walk

o`how I wish that I could Hear them ring, that can only happen when the fairies sing.I thought that it was odd to be up stage,in stead of in the music room!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In math we are doing multiplication and so far it is very easy.I learned that if you multiply anything with

0,you always get 0.In science we are learning how to take notes properly by using three key words and

making one to two sentences using the three key words.We are doing something similar in socials.

                                 My Story Summary

 

My story is about a girl named Danae and her father,King Julius .All of the men in Rome fall in love

with Danae,even a few that are not apart of the real world.Like Hades,king of the under world.He falls

in love with her, and orders his dragon Hydra to go fetch her,and her father.So Hydra did.When he 

got there they were not aware of him coming,so he riped the door off it`s hinges.They went out

side and they saw a gigantic dragon with nine heads was out side,beside the dragon was a man and

this man held a bag in his hand.They went to the under world because the man threatened them to turn

them to stone.Hades wanted to marry him.The king said yes.He would not let Hades  unless he did the impossible.

Defeat Medusa`s brothers.Hades did it but only killed the youngest brother.The oldest turned him to stone.

Medusa's head went back to her body and so did her brother`s head.They all lived happily ever after.

The subject I think I need to improve on is Science, and Social Studies.Science I need to work on

is when I `m note taking I need to be a bit better.I miss a bit of important information.I mostly take

notes on reviews.In Socials I also need to do more detailed work and very detailed notes to fit more info

on the page.

This week we watched 2 movies about Canada and every thing that the first nations did

and a bit about ''the last red Indian''.I missed two days so I only watched the first movie.

We started our hand writing.I love hand writing a lot ,it is one easy kind of writing/printing.

I learned the alphabet in hand writing awhile ago.

I am proud of all of my good grades and I am also proud of being a fast learner. I want to be a bit better at writing

stories and organizing all of my work.My desk is messy most of the time and I want to have a cleaner desk. I hope

This week we had a science test,and everyone passed it.We also had a math test that the entire Okanagan Vally will take  later on in October. Really the first patterning math test was one of the easy math tests that I have taken so far,in grade 4  but we have only had one actual math test because

the second was easy too.We are starting a story about mythical creatures.So far I love my plot of my story.

Today in class we made a Mandala. Our mandala`s should have meant something to us like, a peace sign,or

something that is important to you. I made a peace sign because I love world peace, the reason I put a heart

with a keyhole in the center. On the other side I put a key that goes with the keyhole on the other side. I did that because I always feel like I have something to hide, and it is really cool. There are many ,many choices to pick

for art because you can make what ever you want to. If you feel like it you can make art that reviles your feelings.

MATH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK, so math is not everyone`s favorite subject but it is very important.

I personally don`t mind math. It is usually very hard, and almost everyone has trouble in math.

This week we did a lot of stuff, from a Thanks Giving activity to watching 2 whole videos on the weather for

science, plus more.We all played a game of Sudoku in math, in stead of write in our math note books and

coping from our big huge math text books.I like to play Sudoku in my spare time because it helps with patterning

and you learn from it. Most of the time I like to play with a friend or my mom,and little brother, Ty. We were going to do some mythical writing but did not have time.
