This week i'm going to tell you two stars and a wish . The two stars means the two things that I thought that I did really good in and the wish is the thing that I want to improve . So i'm going to start with the 2 stars . So one of the stars is ....WRITING!!!I really think that I did good in it because last year I got a B but this year i got an A even though the writing gets harder in gr.four . I don't know if it's Mr.johnsons awesome teaching or just me being my awesome self ..Another thing that I found I did really well in was social studies . I didn't like it at first but now I like it alot more. But the same as writing I got a B but I now have an A. The project was one of the funnest things that I did this year.

this week im going to tell you the habitat that I am gotng to choose for the habitat 

thing . I am going to choose deep oceans.I choose deep oceand because there us alot to talk about on it so I know that I can come up with alot.I found it very interesting that a whale can go for like 3 months without any food to raise their youngs.And the sharks were the best part I likied how they hunt they like jump into the air and catch a seal in their mouth.And to me just all water habitats are really interesting.I like the thing in the shell that moves by squirting water uot of it's body.The vampire squid was the jackpot I lived it sooooo much and ity's eyes we're like changing color. I learned that almost all animals that live in the ocean are on a constant quest for food.12 meters long the whale shark is the biggest fish in the world and the biggest thing in the world is the blue whale it ways bas much as 25 male full grown elephanmts 200 tons.macrols can dive down 60 feet in the ocean.I have alot more to tell you but I dont want this to be like 2000 words so for nmow bye bye.

This week I will tell you three things I learned with Mrs.Kam.She told us alot about what salmon needed to live and I never knew that trees were so important .Salmon need trees for lots of good resons.They need trees so that they can have shade to breathe better because there is more disolver oxygen or somthing. And that soil erosion happens without trees because the big roots of  the tree that help keep the dirt in place.Did you know that when a female lays 800 eggs it dies and only 2 would make it back to the spawning grounds.I cannot beileve how many dangers there are to fish and salmon there are probaly more than 100 ways for salmon to die . Another thing was that we had to go into groups and Mrs.Kam gave us a picture and we had to discuss what was bad about the picture what was good about the picture and what we could do to make the creek better and, all of the creeks were in kelowna.And the last thing is the game that we played.You had to jump over or under the jumprope without getting caught and then you had to touch 4 cones without getting caught then you had to get past a bear and birt to the spawning grounds.Hope you enjoyed learning what I learned.

This week I will tell you three things that Iv'e learned since spring break.So one that I always as you know is math.And tin it we have been doing Fractions and decimals. This seriously I think have been the most funnest chapter in math or unit what ever you want to call it.Its a tiny bit easy though but still really fun.We needed to do a test and it was easy but I really didnt do that good well I did okay but I feel like I could of done better.And in the text book we did a unit review and it was pretty hard.

And the second thing is Science.So we are doing a new chapter called communites and habbitats.And we have been watching really interesting videos and my favourite video one was of the one of the Freshwater I really found that one really interesting.And we started a new Novel study on Charlie and the Chocolate factory and so far he hasnt got any golden ticket but some have already done.

 

 

 

 

 

  So I will do another one on all the things I did. Well let me get started. The first thing that I did was this term is start a new writing thing and it was an essay. We didn't really get that far in it though but I'll tell you what we did . We had to do a planning web and then we wrote an introduction, then topic one, then two and so on and the main points in the middle. Then we did the real essay. The second thing I did was I learned about decimals in math. We learned how to do the right decimals and the right fractions in math then we did alot of work in the textbook. And the last but not least thing is the novel study. As you know we are doing Charlie and

the Chocolate Factory. So far its only been about Charlie's grandma telling hin stories and its told about  Charlie and where he lives and all of the detail that we need to know about Charlie. Jjust yesterday Olivia's mom brought in three Japanese students and they showed us how to do oragami and it was lots of fun. This week I'm going to tell you three things that I've since being back is this new unit in math it is telling time and it's fun cause it's soooooo easy and well I can't tell you that much about it cause we only did two thing in thins in the textbook but I think we did 11 questions in thew text book.So another thing that we are doing is in science we started this new unit it's called light and sound but right now we are only doing the light part of it and theres two types of light there is artifical light and natural light.Artificial light is things that are like light bulbs and fashlights and stuff like that.And I think you all know what natural light is it is light that mother nature made like sun stars and stuff like that.But there is one thing that is in the middle it is FIRE!Fire can be made by humans or not by humans.The last thing that I'm telling you about is our stories.So about them they are about the thing that you pulled from the hat would be the charachter and the other one would be the story problem

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thurs,Dec 17th

This week i'm going to tell you what i'm going to do or want to do on this winter break.So the first thing I wanna

do this week is to go sleding down my next door neighbours driveway because it's really steep and on Tuesday I think it was.And I made A jump right in the middle of the driveway and when I go down the driveway on the snowboard and go off the jump I fleu up in the air about eight feet in the air and then I landed on my back really hard and then I got up.And the other thing I wanna do is Ummmmmmmm I  wanna read.I love reading like when you are into a book so much that you get lost inside the book and the when someone comes in and makes a loud noise you get out of the book and your like woah I didn't know that I was here.And the last thing that I wanna do this winter break is sleep.It's true I love sleep I need to get my energy back from waking up to school I don't get all my energy and then I'm very tierd and then I don't have enough energy to finish school but I suck it up and finish school.Then I get really hyper a I don't go to sleep at night so I stay up forever then I  get tierd again.That's all I'm going to tell you cause I swear my brain is sucked out of my brain.

 THIS WEEK I'M GOING TO TELL YOU MY NORMAL EXIT SLIP JUST THREE THINGS I LEARNED THIS WEEK.So ONE IS I THINK ON EVERY SINGLE ONE OF MY EXIT SLIPS IS ..................MATH.SO ABOUT IT IS WE ARE LEARNING DIVISION AND HOW IT RELATES TO MULTIPLUCATIUON.AND WE GOT TWO MATH SHEETS ON IT I THINK BUT I'M NOT TO SHURE.AND TODY WE GOT SOME REALLY FUN ON IT LIKE LUST AFTER LUNCHAND ANOTHER THING THAT I LEARNED TODAY WAS UMMMMMM WELL LETS SEE HERE I GOT IT IT'S THRILD.THRILD IS WHERE YOU READ A PHARAGRAPH AND CHOOSE THREE TO FOUR KEY WORDS THEN WRITE A SENTANCE ABOUT THE THREE OR FOUR KEY WORDS AND THEN GO ONTO THE NEXT PHARAGRAPH.AND THEN THE LAST THING THAT I LEARNED THIS WEEK WAS IN GRAMMAR WE ARE LEARNING ABOUT HOW TO CHANGE A SINGULAR NOUN INTO A PLURAL AND WE HAD THIS BOX WITH NOUNS IN IT AND WE HAD TO PICK WHICK ONE SOUNDED THE BEST.WELL THATS ALL I HAVE FOR YOU THIS WEEK BUT MY NEWS STAND WILL BE OPEN NEXT WEEK ON FRIDAY.

This week I am going to tell you a little short summary about the story that I just finished on Tuesday this week.So my story is about this big giant Cyclops and this little dog named Cerberus.And Cerberus one morning wakes up to a big  flash of lightning and he knows that its Cyclops becauses if Cyclops didn't live where Cerberus lived it would always be sunny.So Cerberus goes to Cyclops and asks whats wrong?and Cyclops answered back well I didn't get

enough sleep last night.So Cerberus said that Cyclops hsould have a nap than Cyclops got really mad and said hat he never has naps.But then Cerberus said that Cyclops should atleast go to bed early but Cyclops just said no.Then they just kept arguing for hours until they were getting to hungry to argue so they both went inside and ate dinner.Then Cerberus called Cyclops and said that now you should go to bed and Cyclops agreed and went to bed then the next day he woke up feeling as good as ever. The End.Hope you think it was good. bye bye.

This week I'm going to tell you one thing that I wanna inprove on and that is Social studies.Really social studiess is really just not my thing I dont like it that much and im just not very good at it.I think the only reason I'm not good at it is because I don't like it.Like I think that if I would like it I would try just a little bit harder at it.Like in math cause I like it so much that I try really hard at it and then I get better and better at it because I try so hard.And one way that I think i can get a little bit better at social studies is to listen a bit better and to get better at taking notes .Thats all i can think of for doing that.

Today i get to think of 3 thing I've learned in 2 weeks and i cant think of anything i did last week so its going to be in this week.So one thing I did was in social studies i got to watch two videos an the first one I watched was about A girl named Nancy and I think she was a red Indian and some sort of other people that I forget the name of and then they forced her to draw things that she remembered and then they were to look at it (the picture) and then she would have to draw another one about her people or her town or something.And then there is the second video where they were talking about famous explorers and what their story was and I'm going to tell you two that I really like.One of them was Henry Hudson he was a famous explorer he went to try to find the North west passage and he went into Hudson bay and he spent the winter in a little bay in Hudson bay and then he sailed up the coast and he was like come on guys were almost there but they said no hes gone way to far so they put him and his son and another guy that was on the boat and then they died.But one day there were these people in a canoe and they came across a little row boat and there were these three guys laying in it and on guy moved and it was Henry Hudson son.Cartier was also a famous and he sailed for a long long long long time and all he could see was fog and water but then one day he was to come across a little island where he and his crew went onto the island and they saw alot of carved things and things shaped as humans and then they called them over and traded stuff.Well that's all the things i should write today bye bye.

Today i did something really fun in my novel study.Well it really was just like any ordinary day but today i got to this really good part in my book and then i filled out the sheet just like any ordinary day.

Today i get to do something called 2 stars and a wish.And that is two things that your good at and one thind you wanna improve on.So one that I think im good at is ................................. im proud of is that in math that i'm getting better in math and learning new subjects in it instead of just plain old adding and subtraction.Were learning like equasions and alot more stuff but i can't remember what its called.And now the two things i really wanna improve on are when i write storys i always have to take a long time to think of what i need and then i get really ma dand it distacks me and then i just cant think.And the second thing i wanna get better at is to not well try not to overflo with ideas cause then my head hurts and i feel like my head feels like it's going to blow off of up.

This week i learned alot but the three things i liked the best is.In math were starting a new unit in math that's really fun its just basic numbers and like basics like subtraction multiplication plus and stuff like that.the other thing I did was we did alot of novel studies and it was i think i cant remember though if or not the first time i think i am going to finish it.Cause in Saskatchewan i was just starting one and it was the first one in my life and then we left but i also cant remember if i did one here in British Columbia.And in science we had another test and our whole class passed.We also got a map of Canada and on that we had to color it and all the continents in the world and we learned about all the islands and the little little islands and which islands belonged to what continents and i haven't ever told you about La that stands for language arts.So in La we get a page with all the days except for Friday we look at the paragraph and we try to find as many mistakes as we can then after everyone is done we correct it.And we also do something called vocabulary its this piece of paper with questions and we have to answer them.Questions like well not really questions but things that are like a         is a furry jacket and theres a box at the bottom with the awnswers and you find the one what sounds best.

this week i learned about allot.But the three things that stood out to me was that in social studies we learned allot about stereotyping.Now stereotyping is when you judge someone by the way they look.Or grown ups can take advantage of little kids and say on t.v. or go oh this is so awesome you need to buy it it can take care of all your needs and so we go off to our parents and say oh my gosh i say this thing on t.v. and it is so awesome i need it it can take care of all your needs.And our parents go like uuuuummmmmmmm?   i need to see it first.well that's about all i can do now for stereotyping but now its math time.I love math as it is but this week in math was sooooooooooooo fun that even Kaylee liked it and she used to hate math.OK well i should start talking about it now so we learned about patterns and man was it fun i whipped through it well that's what i think and every day we looked up on the board and saw if there was math or not and it was just so fun .and the last thing is temperatures  so we went around the whole school and measured  the t  and the highest we got was 28.3 degrees that was on the top of the playground.And in gym we played soccer.Well really that's all the time that i have for this week so see ya all later.

 

Tuesday September 29 09

These couple of days we did allot of things but the two things that stood out to me was................................ in science we studied about cloud cover and rain and for me that was really fun because we got to draw the whole sky and say how much percentage we thought of the sky was covered in cloud.But we also learned allot about rain in science.We learned how to use a rain gauge.but just for the record i new how to already because in Saskatchewan we used to have one.And the other thing is in social studies we are learning allot about maps and  we have to draw one of our own about our street and all the different houses around.So if your house is one of the smaller ones than you would show that if your house was one of the bigger ones you would show that if you had a swing set or a playhouse or a trampoline you would show that to.And that is one of the first time actually the first time i had homework it just brings so many memories you know cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry cry jk which stands for just kidding well  that's about all that i can think of now sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo                         bye                                            P.S. notice how i did 29 os for each one of you hehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehehe bbbbbbbyyyyyyyeeeeeeee everyone.

Well today I learned about tornadoes and we had to read an article about tornadoes and then we had to write in our reading response journal.So we did that and the things that we had to write were 1 sentence about 1 thing we  found interesting about the article and 2 questions we wanted to ask and that's all I got to because i was stuck and then we ha to do agendas and then the bell rang OK no that's a lie we did silent reading before agendas then the bell rang you know its just a miss understanding so don't hurt me please.OK  maybe I'm exaggerating a bit.OK lets forget about that well um we also played capture the flag in P.E. and i was other green team and our team won 2 to 0 and the other teams color was blue.we did allot of math today also so it took over my brain and  i went crazy but the good thin is about math is we get to do 8 questions and i only did 4 so 4 more to go.By the way it was a half day today because of parent teacher interviews so it only was a half day today.Well really that's all i wanna write because I'm so lazy ssssssssoooooooooooooooo bye guys

today we did art and in art we made something called a mandala and what that is is a thing and that thing is usually something personal but it doesn't have to always be something personal but it can be.Like mine was a picture of the Saskatchewan flag and a soccer ball Because I used to live in Saskatchewan and i love soccer. I also had couple other ideas that were something about the war because my grandpa fought in world war 2. He came back but then he died from a heart attack a bit latter when my dad was 8.And just plain soccer because I love soccer like you all know.We also did tennis with coach Willie  and i was one of the three  ones to play with him it was me,Holly and Mitchell and me and Mitchell were on a team  and holly and coach willie were on a team but unfortunately we lost to a girl it was 4 to 0 i think i don't really remember though.Even though it was today.But the funnest thing that we did today was going on the computers because we got to go on here and that i really fun but I only did like 12  or 14 words because my computer kept on shutting down on me so i finally got this one computer that did work and by that time it was time to shut the computers down and send them back down to the library.But we were doing silent reading before the computers because  we were waiting for the computers and I got to a really interesting part and my book is called dangerous creatures.and its about dangerous creatures like things ya ya ya ya ya ya things.well really that's all I thing I can think of for now so bye.

today in social studies we learned mapping and longitude and latitude and we got a map of Southern and Western Canada and that was really fun.In that we had to color the provinces each different colors and name the provinces and then we did the three territories.And the other thing that we did was partner working in math we had to do the questions 4,6 and 7 and me and Josh of course  worked together cause were like a bulldozer when it comes to math seriously like every minuet were like done a question.sssssoooooooooooo bye my brain really isn't working right now.Like whats my name just kidding (jk) this is the shortest I've ever wrote  like i really cant remember anything bye

hey guys I'm back and i have to think of 3 things i did this week and i did allot this week so it will be easy for me to think this time.So the first thing i did was in science we are learning about measuring wind and rain and stuff like that.And yesturday we watched a movie on our science that were doing and about the oazoe layer and rain and  

hurricanes and how powerful they are.and we also went outside to measure wind and stuff like that.And another

thing that we did this week was that in social studies we shaded and named all the Provence's in Canada and then  

colored all the bodies of water.and we learned How to do suzaku puzzles and we changed our desks so now im sitting beside Keeli and shes like i dont know how to do these and now she said that they are really fun.And we did alot of of gym in gym we played bench ball,doctor dodgeball,capture the flag and soccer.And im gonna join battle of the books this year and in the class i got a new book called holes and i saw the movie already but that was a long long time ago and so far its really good.A today we really were really only suspost to do three things but i know i did more in sooo bad not bye i gtg.
